Purpose
To provide for the development and adoption of an academic calendar for CWI.
Scope
Applies to all CWI faculty, staff and students.
Policy
It is the policy of CWI to develop and maintain a two-year academic calendar for CWI in accordance with the guidelines set forth below.
Guidelines
- The Registrar of CWI shall annually convene an Academic Calendar Committee, subcommittee of Curriculum Committee, to develop and maintain a two-year calendar for CWI. This committee shall be composed of representatives from appropriate areas as identified in the committee charter.
- Academic Calendar Committee shall prepare and submit to Curriculum Committee a calendar document that provides the “official” calendar for the coming academic year and a “working” academic calendar for the following academic year.
- The Curriculum Committee shall recommend to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Instruction and Student Services the “official” calendar for the coming academic year and a “working” academic calendar for the following academic year. The EVP of Instruction and Student Services shall submit this calendar to the College Council for input and to the President.
- President’s Cabinet shall review and approve the academic calendar and notify the Registrar.
