Once admitted to the College, you will need to set up your CWI account.
- You will use your CWI account to access myCWI, Canvas, your student email, Microsoft 365 apps, and other college systems.
- During setup, you will be required to enroll in multi-factor authentication. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring your password and a second verification step, such as a code sent to your phone, which helps protect your account from unauthorized access.
- After your account is set up, you can use the Self-Service Password Reset Tool to change your password or regain access to your account at any time.
- For login assistance, please contact the Help Desk online or by calling 208.562.3444.
After you have set up your student account, you will need to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) prior to logging in to any CWI systems or services. MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring both your password and a second step, like a code sent to your phone, making it harder for others to gain access.

Program Orientation
Admitted students majoring in select Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs will be required to participate in an additional program orientation prior to registering for major-specific classes. Program orientations will cover expectations and requirements and are typically held before the opening of fall or spring registration.
Students seeking a degree or certificate are required to meet with their assigned advisor within their first semester to:
- Create an academic plan.
- Explore your goals.
- Understand academic expectations.
- Review degree requirements.
- And more.
Fulfilling this advising requirement during your first semester at CWI will allow you to register for classes in future semesters.
View the Academic Calendar for important dates and deadlines specific to each semester.
CWI's scholarship application provides students with automatically-generated scholarship matches, including over 10,000 external scholarship opportunities, allowing you to self-select scholarships of interest.
