Nagel Foundation Scholarship recipient, Wade Kindberg, is working toward his future career as a student in CWI's Advanced Mechatronics Engineering Technology program. Through the support of this $3,500 scholarship, Kindberg has been able to explore his interests and learn new skills while getting hands-on experience.

FAQs

20462 Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! The CWI Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our taxpayer identification number is ​#27-1159705​.

20463 Will my gift qualify for the Idaho Education Tax Credit?

Donations to the CWI Foundation may qualify for a 50% tax credit for Idaho residents — a reduction in the actual tax you owe.

Your tax benefit is dependent on your personal income level and filing status. Please consult your tax advisor to learn more.

20464 How do I decide where to give?

There are over 20 giving opportunities available during CWI Giving Day. The choice is yours! Each time you make a gift online, you can direct your gift to up to five different designations.  

20465 Can I give you my gift in person?

Yes! Visit the CWI Foundation office at the College’s Nampa Campus Administration Building in Room 101 to make a donation in person.

20466 Can I give stock or securities?

Yes! Please contact the CWI Foundation at 208.562.3100 for information on transferring stock or securities directly to our brokerage account.

20467 How can I help CWI Giving Day succeed?

Spread the word! Let your friends, family, and colleagues know that you’ve made a gift and encourage them to give, too. Post on your social media accounts tagging College of Western Idaho using the hashtag, #cwigivingday. Whatever method you choose, your support will help CWI Giving Day be a success.

20461 How do challenges and matches work?

Challenge gifts have been pledged by generous donors to College of Western Idaho. Each challenge, once the goal is met, will release an additional donation. Goals can be based on the number of donors, or the amount of dollars raised.

Matching gifts are dollar-for-dollar donation matches, up to a certain amount. When you make your gift, the matching donors will make an equal gift.

20523 Can I provide multiple matching gifts and challenges on CWI Giving Day?

On CWI Giving Day, donors may only make one matching gift and one challenge and can give to up to five different designation areas at a time.
