Various professional certification exams are provided through Testing Services at College of Western Idaho (CWI) for students and members of the community. Explore the information below to learn which certifications are offered and how to schedule your exam.

Certiport
Exam Scheduling for CWI STudents
Current CWI students are allotted three exam vouchers with course fees. Students may request an additional voucher from their Instructor if more attempts are needed. Students must schedule their desired Certiport exam at least 24 hours in advance via RegisterBlast by selecting the following steps:
- Step 1: Choose a location.
- Step 2: Choose Class Exams.
- Step 3: Choose Business.
- Step 4: Choose your exam (MOS or QB and the voucher number).
- Step 5: Complete remaining fields, select a date, and checkout.
Please select accordingly, as each appointment uses one voucher. Call Testing Services within 12 hours of your appointment if you need to reschedule. Please have your Certiport account already created before your appointment and ensure you have entered your Student ID. An appointment is required for every exam attempt and voucher usage. CWI only offers the 2019 version of the exams.
Certiport Microsoft Office (MOS) Retake Policy
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait 24 hours before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait 48 hours before retaking the exam a third time.
- A two-day waiting period will be imposed for each subsequent exam retake.
- There is no annual limit on the number of attempts on the same exam.
- If a candidate achieves a passing score on an MOS exam, the candidate may take it again.
Certiport QuickBooks Retake Policy
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait 1 business day (24 hours) before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait 5 business days (120 hours) before retaking the exam a third time.
- A five-day waiting period will be imposed for each subsequent exam retake.
- There is no annual limit on the number of attempts on the same exam.
- If a candidate achieves a passing score on an Intuit exam, the candidate may take it again.
Non-CWI Students
Testing Services only administers the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and QuickBooks (2017 Online) exams.
- Non-CWI students must first purchase their exam voucher from Certiport at least 24 hours before scheduling a testing appointment.
- Exams must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance via RegisterBlast by selecting the following steps:
- Step 1: Choose a location.
- Step 2: Choose Certification Exams.
- Step 3: Choose Certiport Certification Exam.
- Step 4: Choose MOS/QB Non-CWI Student.
CWI currently only offers the 2019 version of the MOS exams. Older versions are not available at our locations. Please bring your pre-purchased voucher code with you to your appointment or have it pre-loaded to your account. Each exam time will require a non-refundable proctoring fee of $25, payable during registration checkout. In the event that you do not pass the exam, if you purchased an "exam voucher with retake" from Certiport, a retake code will be emailed to you. You may re-take the exam after waiting 24 hours from the time your initial exam was first started. Retake vouchers must be used within 30 days of the failed exam.

PearsonVUE
CWI is a PearsonVUE-Authorized Test Center. Please be aware that not all exams offered by PearsonVUE are available at our sites and may require the use of a PearsonVUE-Professional Test Center, depending on exam requirements.
Each certification exam from PearsonVUE has different requirements. Please visit PearsonVUE and select For Test Takers for more information related to your specific exam, including which government issued identification is required on testing day.
The name you used to register for your exam and the name on all forms of identification must match. If you have changed your name since registering for your exam, you will need to correct it with your exam sponsor or obtain new ID prior to testing.
Unacceptable forms of ID (including but not limited to):
- United States Passport Card
- School ID
- Work ID
- Costco Membership Card
- Library Card
- Insurance Cards
CWI staff cannot circumvent any ID policy for certification exams for any reason.

IDCNA Written Exam (Prometric)
Testing Services administers the IDCNA (Idaho Certified Nurse Aide) written exam on behalf of Prometric.
The Written (Knowledge) exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions that test your overall knowledge of information required as a nurse aide caring for nursing home residents. You will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
- In order to take the Written portion of the exam, you must have passed the CNA Skills exam prior to registration. Additionally, you will be required to bring your skills completion form with you to your appointment to verify your completion date. All candidates are required to present a physical, government issued, current form of Identification. Sorry, we cannot accept expired ID's for this exam.
Prometric will send information on the candidate’s successful completion of the Nurse Aide Competency Examination to the state’s Nurse Aide Registry within two business days of the candidate passing the exam. All test candidates should be able to provide their Social Security Number on the day of their exam.
Candidates may register for the exam using one of two options:
Option 1: Self-Pay- Self-pay for the exam fees ($50) by using a credit card to schedule through our registration page:
- Part of your payment will be used to reserve your testing appointment ($20)
- The rest will be paid directly to Prometric at the time of your exam ($30)
Option 2: Third Party Payment or Voucher (Temporarily Suspended)

National Testing Network (NTN)
Testing Services administers kiosk-based testing for the National Testing Network (NTN), but not written exams.
Testers must register with and set up an appointment at least 24 hours ahead of time via NTN.
Once an appointment is scheduled with NTN, the tester will arrive at their scheduled location and appointment time. Please be sure to bring a valid, government-issued ID that matches the exact name that the appointment has been registered under.

Dental Assisting national Board (DANB)
The Dental Assisting National Board exam (DANB) is a national certification for dental assistants. DANB offers a wide range of certification exams at the national and state level. CWI is currently offering the following exams through Testing Services:
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant Exam)
- GC (General Chairside Assisting Exam)
- ICE/GC (Infection Control and General Chairside Assisting Combination Exam)
- RHS/GC (Radiation Health and Safety Exam and General Chairside Assisting Combination Exam)

Meazure Learning
Meazure Learning provides testing and training design, development, and delivery services to certification and licensure organizations, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and trade and professional associations.For more information and to register for your exam visit Meazure Learning.

Metro Institute (Idaho Dept. of Agriculture)
CWI Testing Services provides proctoring services for the Idaho Department of Agriculture (ISDA) through Metro institute. Metro Institute provides online computer-based testing services in Idaho for the Idaho State Department of Agriculture.
In order to schedule your ISDA exam with CWI Testing Services, please use the Metro Institute website to schedule a computer based exam. You are required to bring a government-issued photo identification (must be original, unexpired, current photographic identification) with you on test day. After you schedule and pay for your exam, Metro will send your appointment to Testing Services and you will added to the test roster. PRAXIS I & II
The Praxis tests measure the knowledge and skills you need to prepare for the classroom. Whether you are entering a teacher preparation program or seeking your certification, these tests will help you on your journey to become a qualified educator.
Step 1: Create an ETS account online at ets.org/mypraxis.
Step 2: On your account home page, select Register for a Test.
Step 3: Choose the test you wish to take on the Search and Select Tests page.
Step 4: On the Schedule Tests page, choose the date and time for your test. Follow the directions to continue your registration and pay for your test.
Step 5: Print your admission ticket from your Praxis account and bring it with you to CWI Testing Services when it is time for your test appointment.
