Ander first became interested in geology as a young child growing up in Idaho, this interest lead him to pursue a BS degree in Geology from Boise State (2004). He remained on at Boise State accepting an offer to investigate Late-Stage evolution of the Variscan Orogen as exposed on the island of Sardinia, Italy resulting in a Master's Degree in Geology with a emphasis in Structural Geology. Ander's prior teaching experience was primarily field oriented, with emphasis on bedrock geologic mapping. He was hired as full geology faculty in fall 2011 and teaches a variety of classes at CWI including; Physical Geology, Historical Geology, Environmental Geology, and Field Geology.
