- required materials or supplies paid through special course fees

Special Course Fees
Special course fees, added to the cost of tuition for select classes, are used to pay for special equipment, labs, and materials. Visit Special Course Fees to learn more about the purpose of these fees, view a list of approved fees by academic year, and find information about the opt-out process.

IncludEd
Courses utilizing IncludEd deliver all required instructional materials at an additional cost to students as part of their tuition and fees rather than as a separate purchase from the Bookstore.

Open Education Resources
Open Education Resources (OER) are textbooks or course materials available to students at no cost and part of the College's Z-degree initiative.
- According to the Idaho State Board of Education, OER are "teaching, learning, and research materials that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license, such as a Creative Commons license, that permits free use and repurposing by others."
- OER are available to students on the first day of class.
- OER costs vary by class and are listed within the descriptions of applicable course sections in Student Planning.
- Z-degree classes will be marked with an icon indicating the total textbook cost.
