Biography
Jeanette Orozco, a proud daughter of two Mexican immigrants, was born in Bakersfield, California and raised in Caldwell, Idaho most of her life. Jeanette's academic journey started as a College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Scholar at the University of Idaho in 2016. Later being the first in her family to graduate from a university in 2020. Recieving a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies, Sociology, and Spanish with and Academic Certificate in Diversity and Stratification.
After graduation, she spent two years working at the University of Idaho in a dual role as a Retention Specialist for the Office of Multicultural Affairs and CAMP, providing academic, cultural, and social support to multicultural students and students who come from a migrant/seasonal farm-working background.
In the late fall of 2022, Jeanette started working with the admissions team at CWI and since then has transitioned to a Student Success Coach working with students at CWI, the Latinx Scholars, and serving as a club advisor for Siempre Unidos.
Jeanette has a passion for helping others and is excited to be back in her hometown of Caldwell to continue to work on student success and giving back to her community.
