Christy joined CWI in 2018. Christy started her career in higher education more than 20 years ago at Boise State where she advised students from migrant, refugee, and international backgrounds. Christy earned her master’s degree in the field of Counseling during that time. She left Boise State in 2015 and spent three years working as a mental health counselor in a community wellness agency where she honed her skills as a therapist. Christy has a strong passion for supporting students through life’s challenges as they pursue their educational goals.
In her free time, Christy enjoys being outside on a bike or in her hiking shoes. She also loves to garden, cook, dance and travel. With a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology, Christy gets excited about people, cultures and languages. Christy is fluent in Spanish and dabbles in Swedish and French.
