Adjunct Teaching Faculty, MSC

With an interest in logic and mathematics, Randy earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and later his Master’s Degree in System’s Management from the University of Southern California.  This academic knowledge provided a solid foundation for the varied roles he held in the aviation prior to joining CWI in mid-2024.

Randy is a former executive leader with global business experience, and current business insights.  In 2023, he concluded his 25+ year career at the Boeing Company.  In his last assignment he served as the Managing Director of Commercial Marketing for the Africa and Middle East regions. In prior roles Randy led the similar teams in the Eurasia, Russia and Central Asia, and Asia Pacific regions.  Formerly, he was responsible for identifying, quantifying, and communicating the value of commercial products and services to his airline customers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia, the Philippines, Chile, and the USA. His other posts at Boeing included work as an Airline Economic Analyst in the Commercial Marketing organization and Specialist Engineer in the Flight Technical Publications organization.

Prior to Boeing, Heisey was a Flight Simulator Instructor at Alaska Airlines and was a Pilot for United Airlines.  Randy began his aviation career in the United States Air Force where his assignments included serving as an Instructor Pilot and Airlift Director.

Randy grew up in Pennsylvania and moved a number of times while serving in the US Air Force which brought him to the Pacific Northwest.  He and his wife, a Nampa native, met while they were living in the Seattle area.  They chose to return to her origins in 2024 and are enjoying re-establishing their roots in the Treasure Valley.   He enjoys time with family, playing golf (the green grass and blue skies, not necessarily the sometimes-large numbers on his score card), and is active in his church community.
