Omair Shamim (M.D., MHS, MK) has recently joined the CWI teaching fraternity in Spring of 2018. He is teaching Medical Terminology for Department of Health Sciences. Dr. Shamim also teaches at Boise State University for the last four years. At Boise State he teaches online courses in Patho-Physiology and Research Methods and Design. He also has taught other clinical courses at Dow University of Health Sciences, including Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology and Clinical Medicine.
Omair brings his medical training, as well as his experience in public health and exercise science, to the classroom, where he is able to share real life scenarios with his students. He also keeps himself abreast of clinical advancements and research and applies that knowledge in the classroom. “Being a teacher, I learn to grow with the students. They teach me so much about life in general and that is the part I love the most. I love to be the inspiration and able to make a difference in someone’s life in a positive manner.”
