I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where my love for all things animal related grew. As a born and raised animal lover, I pursued a veterinary degree but along the way decided that teaching was my passion. I received my Master’s degree from Sonoma State University, where I studied the behavior of captive sun bears at the Oakland Zoo, CA. Animal behavior continues to fascinate me and I had the privilege of being taught by some of the most encouraging, fun, and dedicated instructors. I can honestly say I would not be the person I am today without the support I had from some of my professors and I hope to bring the same energy and inspiration to my students. I strongly believe that education is something no one can take away from you and that as a student, your education is in your hands and involves being proactive. I am very excited to be teaching the Introduction to Biology Flex Labs and I look forward to being a part of your educational journey!

Outside of the classroom you can find me exploring the beautiful state of Idaho! I love to hike, fly fish, and go on adventures with my newfie.
