Erika attended CWI in her first year of college, initially studying psychology. After she completed her first year, she went on to continue to study at Idaho State University in Pocatello. Once at Idaho State University, Erika studied sociology with an emphasis in criminology and minored in psychology. Erika was involved in many on-campus groups such as Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and Residence Hall Association.
Erika graduated from ISU in May of 2018 with her B.A. in sociology and went on to study for a Master of Arts degree also in sociology with the criminology emphasis. Her master's thesis focused on studying the mental and emotional stressors that probation and parole officers in Idaho experience while supervising sex offenders. After graduating with her Master's in May of 2020, Erika continued her education with pursuing a Doctor of Arts degree in Political science also at Idaho State University. She recently completed her first year of her doctoral program and continues her academic scholarship in sex offender literature. Erika is committed to showing students of all majors that social sciences are applicable and important in any scenario. Throughout her educational career Erika has noticed many overlaps in the real world and social sciences and desires to share those experiences and perspectives with students.
