Connie Black serves as the Registrar for College of Western Idaho.  As the first Registrar of a new community college established in 2007, she worked to help build a study-ready college serving students in Idaho’s Treasure Valley.  Prior to CWI, Connie worked at Boise State University. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Boise State University and a Master of Education from Concordia University.

Her passion for working in higher education for nearly 30 years stems from witnessing first-hand how education transforms lives.  Regardless of where students enter or where they are going, once started on their unique path, her calling is to focus on students’ progress and outcomes.

When not at work, Connie enjoys exploring Idaho and the surrounding states by RV with her family and traveling as much as possible. Her favorite places on earth (so far) are Redfish Lake, Hawaii, and Bermuda.
