Chandra Fridley

Advisor, Student Success
Advising Specialty:  Anthropology, Geography, History, Political Science, & Psychology

Chandra joined the College of Western Idaho team in February 2015 as a One Stop Specialist and moved into an Academic Advisor role in August 2016. She loves that she has been able to take her passion for working with students and turn it into a career. One of the things she enjoys most about working at CWI is interacting with a very diverse student population and community.

Her work in higher education began as a student employee at Boise State. She started as a receptionist for several departments in the College of Engineering and transitioned to an Office Specialist role. Following a short break she was a peer advisor in the office of Advising and Academic Enhancement. She also served as the peer advisor for the History department and Social Science secondary education students. Although she went to school to be a high school teacher, Chandra learned through her jobs as an advisor that her heart was set on working with students in a college setting. She graduated from BSU with a Bachelor of Arts in History and minors in English and Psychology.

A proud Air Force brat, Chandra made the move back across the pond from England to Mountain Home just in time to start third grade and has called Idaho home ever since. She currently lives in Boise’s North End with her quirky pup Oliver. Outside of work she loves to read, spend time with friends and family, catch up with her brother through weekly phone calls, and volunteer with her church’s nursery and youth group.
