Brent received his master’s in Spanish Literature from the University of Oregon. He was born in Agaña, Guam but grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He lived in Puerto Rico for two years and spent over a decade teaching Spanish at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill. before moving back to Idaho to begin teaching at CWI. He loves the Spanish language and culture and feels that both are a part of who he is. His favorite quote is “Cuando las cosas llegan a los centros, no hay quien las arranque.” (García Lorca, Bodas de sangre)
