Amy has been working as a professional Sign Language interpreter for eight years. After obtaining a B.A. degree in Deaf Studies from California State University Northridge in 2013, she started her career within the community surrounding Riverside, California. She was able to gain experience in a variety of settings, including medical, post-secondary education, video relay service (VRS), business, etcetera. In 2019 she moved to Meridian, Idaho with her husband and two kids. Since moving to Idaho, she has expanded her experience by working within the K-12 educational setting, as well as, Vocational Rehab, and warehouse settings.
Amy currently holds an Idaho state occupational license for interpreting, EIPA 4.6, and is in the testing process for national certification. She has always loved the post-secondary setting and is so excited to have joined the CWI team!
