Dr. Allison Baker, Chair, Department of Nursing, has been a nurse for over 30 years. After practicing in critical care for several years, she developed a passion for nursing education. Dr. Baker received her undergraduate degree in nursing from East Carolina University, her masters degree in nursing from the University of Virginia, and her doctorate in nursing from Idaho State University. Under her leadership, the ASN program achieved full accreditation by ACEN in 2018. Dr. Baker is a longstanding member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Nurses Association, and Nurse Leaders of Idaho. She is the proud mom of two young adult men and one adorable granddaughter.
