Alan Carwile is an Industry Teacher in the Workforce Development Department. Alan is a recent addition, bringing expertise in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Alan received his BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. He has industry experience as a software engineer and software manager with a range of companies from startup to public.
Alan and his wife (a Boise State alum) have six children of various ages. Alan enjoys computer tech, sports, hiking, and camping. You might bump into him on the greenbelt, at a hockey game or at BSU basketball games.
Alan also teaches an Intro to Computer Science class as part of a homeschool co-op.
