INL Director Will Tour CWI and Speaks with Students

College of Western Idaho (CWI) is thrilled to welcome Dr. John C. Wagner, Director of Idaho National Laboratory (INL) on Thursday, Feb. 1, for a tour and discussion on campus. The visit is an excellent opportunity for students to speak with Wagner and gain insights into INL's pioneering innovations.

“INL's groundbreaking work in advancing energy research is inspiring, and CWI is committed to educating and training students who will contribute to such endeavors," said CWI President Gordon Jones.

“Idaho National Laboratory’s vision is to change the world’s energy future and secure our nation’s critical infrastructure,” said John Wagner, INL laboratory director. “As one of the state’s largest private employers, we need bright, talented students from Idaho’s colleges and universities to come work for us. I’m grateful for the opportunity to visit CWI and meet with their students and faculty.”

Wagner leads a team of more than 6,000 scientists, engineers, and support staff, and will share his experiences and the laboratory's work in energy, national security, and science.

CWI prides itself on offering educational programs that are tailored to meet the evolving needs of industry leaders like INL. These programs, which include Advanced Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, and Cybersecurity, are designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the workforce.
