College of Western Idaho (CWI) is celebrating first-generation college students, and you're invited! Join us for First-Generation Celebration Day on Thursday, Nov. 12, for free lunch, student stories, and a chance to connect with fellow students, faculty, and staff.
Being the first in your family to attend college is an achievement worth recognizing. This celebration honors the experiences, determination, and accomplishments of first-generation students and the community supporting them.
During the event, hear from first-generation students, graduates, faculty, and staff as they share their journeys, lessons learned, and advice for success.
The celebration doesn't stop there! CWI is also hosting a First-Gen Scavenger Hunt, Nov. 9 – 13, giving students and employees an opportunity to explore campus, connect with first-gen champions, and earn prizes.
CWI employees can also show their first-gen pride with a special "I AM First-Gen" T-shirt! Whether you're a first-generation college graduate or an advocate supporting first-gen students, it's a great way to celebrate and show your support.
Visit the First-Generation Students webpage for celebration details, event location and time, scavenger hunt instructions, and ways to show your first-gen pride.
