Election Experts to Discuss Midterm Elections at CWI

Published: October 7, 2026

College of Western Idaho (CWI) will host three political scientists from Boise State University for a Mid-Term Election Panel on Wednesday, Oct. 28, ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

The panel will feature Charles Hunt, Ph.D.; Jeffrey Lyons, Ph.D.; and Ross Burkhart, Ph.D. The three political scientists bring expertise in congressional elections, partisanship and representation; political behavior, public opinion and political psychology; and cross-national democratization and U.S.-Canada environmental relations.

Students, employees, and community members are invited to attend the discussion at Ada County Center Pintail Building (APIN). A webinar option will also be available on Zoom for those who are unable to attend in person.

The panel is part of CWI's civic engagement programming and will give attendees an opportunity to hear from political science experts as the country prepares for the midterm elections.
