Meet Katherine. Katherine will graduate from College of Western Idaho (CWI) with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts on May 13, 2017. Katherine’s biggest accomplishment at CWI was becoming a published author! After seeing a flyer posted on an on-campus bulletin board, she submitted a poem written for an English 102 assignment to CWI’s literary magazine, Basalt. Her poem, “R Is for Requiescat”, which she claims was written in one sitting the night before it was due, was selected and published in the Spring 2015 issue of Basalt. Following graduation, Katherine plans to study Agricultural Leadership at University of Idaho.
