An endowment is a gift made to the College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation (minimum of $10,000); the principal of which is preserved in perpetuity. By creating an endowment, you not only leave your legacy at CWI, but you also help support our mission of being a public, open-access, and comprehensive community college. You may also encourage contributions from family and friends to help make your fund grow.

Endowments can be established to assist students with scholarships, support a specific program or department, or set up as unrestricted gifts. You can also honor someone special or memorialize a loved one with a named fund.

Reynold family

The Reynolds Family chose to set up endowments in honor of each other

“It was important for me to honor (my parents) while they are still alive and know a scholarship in their names exists.”
-Dr. Ellen Reynolds, Endowment Donor
