Tutoring Support
Classroom Visits
If you would like your students to utilize Tutoring Services or simply want to share the opportunity, consider hosting a classroom presentation. Your students may be more likely to contact Tutoring Services after learning how our team can support their academic efforts.
To arrange a visit, email tutoring@cwi.edu.
Assignment Checks
If you are curious how students will respond to a particular assignment, our tutors can help you fine tune and check the assignment draft for clarity. Our tutors, often students themselves, are experts in reading and responding to college assignments and are happy to give you feedback to ensure your assignment is interpreted correctly.
Test & Quiz Support
With respect to honoring academic integrity standards, tutors are not permitted to assist students with any tests or quizzes, even if they are considered take-home, open-book, or group work. Tutoring Services honors CWI’s academic integrity standards and respects the importance of assessment performance reflecting a student’s own comprehension and work. Tutoring Services’ scope allows tutors to gladly support your student by scheduling a study session to review course materials and study guides; it’s the test content itself we are unable to review.
As faculty, a student may approach you to request additional support for having a successful testing experience. If this happens, please consult your supervisor and/or department chair to explore options for assisting your student with their request ethically and equitably.
