Single Parents

Find your community and support at College of Western Idaho's Center for New Directions single parent support network. We are here to help you thrive in college and beyond, offering a welcoming space where you can find support, inclusion, and resources tailored to your journey.

Who We Help

This program is designed for Career and Technical Education students who are:

  • Single parents with primary financial and custodial responsibility (50% or more) for dependent children.
  • Single pregnant women.
  • Individuals re-entering the workforce after time spent caring for a household, looking to upgrade skills or change careers.

What We Do

Through events, one-on-one support, and community connections, we help you:

  • Build confidence and a sense of empowerment.
  • Strengthen your ability to self-advocate.
  • Reach your personal, academic, and career goals.

Join us and connect with others who understand your journey — you don’t have to do college alone.
