Biography
Tammie was born and raised in Southeast Idaho, but spent most of her life in Star Valley, Wyoming. She followed a non-traditional student path and is super grateful for the educational opportunity at her local community college outreach, where she earned an associate degree. She received her undergraduate degree from Utah State University in Psychology. She gained her Master of Education in Human Resource Studies with a specialization in Organizational Learning, Performance and Change from Colorado State University.
Her professional path and passions have been focused on education and public service, where she previously worked in victim advocacy, adult education and served in public office. She worked for the Wyoming Gear Up Program, assisting first generation/underserved students with college attainment. Before coming back home to Idaho, she served as a classroom teacher/advisor for the Jobs for Nevada’s Graduates Program in Moapa Valley, Nevada where she guided students in pathfinding as well as workplace readiness, military, trade school and/or college attainment and support.
Tammie loves education and assisting students in finding their own path and success in life.
In her free time, she enjoys family, friends and pets as well as all kinds of indoor and outdoor recreation. She is an avid pickleball player, loves to remodel and cook, and is on a mission to visit all the national parks.
