CWI Scholarship Giveaway a Big Hit
CWI Night at the Hawks was truly a home run this year! Executive Vice President, David Shellberg did an excellent job throwing out the ceremonial first pitch and the second SCORE Big Scholarship for 2017 was awarded to Trazelle Gordon-Cooper. Trazelle, a New Plymouth resident, will be starting this fall in the Software Development program and was thrilled to receive the $1,000 scholarship to assist her. In addition, nearly 50 CWI group tickets were sold for the night. The SCORE Big Scholarship is completely funded by CWI employees. A big thank you to everyone who attended the game or is currently giving to the Foundation to support this fund. If you would like to give, you can pledge a one-time gift or sign up for an ongoing donation ($5 minimum). The SCORE Big Scholarship promotion, in conjunction with CWI Nights, will continue in 2018.

If you would enjoy helping students have the best CWI experience possible, then One Stop is looking for you! It’s that time again for the beginning of a new semester and One Stop is reaching out to our amazing co-workers to help us assist our students. July Staff of the Month
Deb Furman has been working at CWI since November 1, 2011, as a Building Specialist at the Canyon County Center. She enjoys the friendly and caring atmosphere at the office. Deb has five grandchildren; three live here in Idaho and two are in Wisconsin. A fun fact is that she is retiring in August and looking forward to visiting her granddaughters in Wisconsin!
The core value displayed by Deb is Caring. Her nomination noted, “Deb is known to consistently go above and beyond to help anyone she comes across. She is such a problem solver and I ‘m grateful for her. She goes about her work quietly, but always with a smile on her face! She works incredibly hard and never hesitates to pitch in or switch gears on the fly. Deb is always the person you see working and there doesn’t seem to be a job that’s too big or too small for her. She just shrugs, smiles, and says “Sure!” and gets things done. She never minds being interrupted (which happens often) and will stop everything to help out. Employees like Deb are what make CWI such a wonderful place to work.”
