Input Needed for Employee Communication Survey
Results from College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) 2015 Employee Satisfaction Survey identified institutional communication as an area needing improvement. CWI’s Human Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) is tasked with providing recommendations based on the employee survey. The HRAC has developed a short survey for faculty and staff to help make a recommendation on the College’s short-and long-term communication strategy related to employees.
All employees are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete this four question survey to help finalize the HRAC’s recommendation. Responses are anonymous. The survey will be open through Friday, Jan. 29.
Thank you for providing feedback to help make CWI a great place to work.
Valuable to the Core Reintroduced
College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Culture and Employee Engagement Committee (CEEC) is excited to announce the ‘Valuable to the Core’ initiative is being reintroduced with a new look. The initiative was created to help employees celebrate peers through recognition, awareness, and the core values of the College. The CEEC is leading a new push to honor employees through the program.
The process to recognize employees is easy. There are ‘Valuable to the Core’ banners hanging in building workrooms and breakrooms. Located under the banner are ‘Recognize a Rock Star’ nomination cards. Employees may recognize a peer by completing a nomination card. There are also envelopes containing stars pertaining to each core value. Simply find the star that relates to the core value the employee exemplifies and fill it out. Hang the star around the banner to display how awesome those individuals are.
Every quarter, the CEEC will collect stars from all campus locations. The stars will be drawn at random for six employees to have lunch with CWI President Bert Glandon. Moving forward, ‘Valuable to the Core’ nominations will also help select faculty and staff of the month honorees.
Please join us in recognizing the amazing faculty and staff at CWI. Please contact the CEEC at ceec@cwi.edu with any questions.
