Visiting Artist Series Welcomes Stacy Isenbarger

Published: March 17, 2022

Join College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Visiting Artist Series in welcoming artist, Stacy Isenbarger, to the Nampa Campus Academic Building (NCAB) for a lecture and workshop March 31 and April 1.

Isenbarger’s creative pursuits include sculpture, installation, mixed-media drawings, student mentorship, and supporting community exchange through art. Isenbarger is the co-creator and a contributing editor for the studio art faculty online resource WhatDoWeDoNow.Art.

As Foundations Coordinator and Associate Professor of Art and Design at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, she celebrates her opportunities to explore creative communication and empowerment. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Clemson University and her Master of Fine Arts from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia—two places she has tremendous gratitude for especially in regard to how both experiences shaped her approach to teaching. When she's not teaching or making—and sometimes when she is—she's usually dancing since the act continuously validates her joy of community acceptance and shaking up space.

Join Isenbarger face-to-face or online, via Zoom, as she discusses her work and background as an artist.

Thursday, March 31

7– 8 p.m.

NCAB, Room 206

Meeting ID: 984 4895 4248

Passcode: 972954

In addition to her lecture, Isenbarger will be facilitating a mixed-media workshop to guide students in the creation of a wall hanging.

Friday, April 1

10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

NCAB, Room 206

View Isenbarger’s art on display in the art gallery on the second floor of NCAB March 28 – April 15.
