The College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation scholarships application period is now open for the 2018-19 academic year. A variety of scholarship opportunities are available to students in the College’s academic and career-technical programs.
Martin Ruiz, a Drafting Technology student and a 2017-18 scholarship recipient, was awarded the Emil and Sina Berg Scholarship. This particular scholarship is given to outstanding students pursuing a degree or certificate in any Career Technical Education program, with a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrated financial need.
“I was both surprised and honored to receive this scholarship. I am the oldest of three children in my family and the first to be able to attend college,” said Ruiz. This scholarship has been a blessing, and it will greatly help me financially.”
Students interested in applying for scholarships must have the CWI admission application completed, be accepted, and have myCWI login information. The application closes April 30, 2018.
