College of Western Idaho (CWI), Veteran and Military Family Services, and the Veterans Assistance Association at CWI will celebrate Veterans Day with a handful of activities to pay tribute and honor those who are serving or have served our country.
CWI Patriot Range is a flag display that includes 200 American flags and each branch of the military’s flag. The flags will be displayed on the west lawn of the Nampa Campus Academic Building (NCAB) from Monday, Nov. 6, through Monday, Nov. 13.

The Veterans Assistance Association at CWI will also be hosting a Suicide Prevention presentation on Thursday, Nov. 9. Representatives from the Veterans Affairs (VA) will host the presentation which aims to help those in attendance walk away with the tools to see the early signs of suicide and provide help to save the life of a veteran or active service member.
This event will be catered with food from Dickies BBQ.

Lastly, the Veterans Assistance Association at CWI invites fellow veterans to an informational seminar about VA disability claims and the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act on Wednesday. Nov. 15. The presentation will be hosted by the team from the Disabled American Veterans, Boise Service Office, and share information about the changes to the VA disability claim process, and how to get assistance in submitting a claim to the VA.
