What should I bring to my appointment?
The most important thing to bring to your tutoring session is an openness to work! Other things that help make your time successful are your assignment, any class notes or course texts that pertain to the assignment, and any work you have done so far.

How do I obtain verification for my visit?
Upon request, Tutoring Services can complete a verification form for you to take to your instructor or email verification directly to your instructor.

What is the no-show policy?
Supporting your academic success is important to us, and showing up to scheduled sessions is a big part of being here for you. If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, we understand — just make sure you let us know so we can still help fellow students.
If you need to cancel a session, complete one of the following:
- Cancel your appointment directly in Upswing.
- Ask a front desk host at any of our in-person locations for assistance.
- Contact us at 208.562.2233 (Nampa) or 208.562.2516 (Boise) to let us know.
Students who miss three (3) or more scheduled sessions in one semester without cancelling it in advance will have a restriction placed on their Upswing account.
- This restriction will prevent you from booking sessions for the rest of the semester.
- To have a restriction removed, send an email to brettbelden@cwi.edu requesting removal. A member of our team will respond within 1– 3 business days with instructions on how to have the restriction removed.
- Students with restricted accounts are still able to use ACES, the Writing and AI Literacy Center's email service, for receiving feedback on written drafts and AI-related questions.
