Associated Students of College of Western Idaho (ASCWI), your student government, is committed to representing and serving students. Your student leaders present, listen to, and resolve student concerns; identify and fix problems; seek out opportunities for improvement within the College; provide resources; and work to enhance student life and the community around us. ASCWI's mission is to represent students in interactions with CWI administration and community leaders, making sure their voices are heard and enhancing their experience at CWI.

Student Leadership Meetings

Student leadership meetings bring a member of each student club and organization together to report on past, present, and planned events. These meetings occur on the first Thursday of each month. 

Student Leadership Circle Meeting Agenda's are updated on a monthly basis, generally 48 hours before the next scheduled meeting. Next Student Leadership Circle is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.

Senate Meetings

During Senate Meetings, ASCWI reports updates and news related to College Council, the Board of Trustees, and multiple committees across campus. These meetings are open forum, so please come and contribute your thoughts on how to make CWI a better place for students.

ASCWI is looking for officers!

ASCWI is always looking for passionate students to take part of student government. Interested students can be part of ASCWI as an officer or delegate by applying to open positions.

Student Eligibility

To be eligible to serve on ASCWI, students must:

  • be enrolled in at least 6 credits at CWI
  • have a 2.5 GPA 
  • be in good standing
  • be available every Thursday from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. for ASCWI meetings
