What is ASCWI?
Your student government, ASCWI is committed to representing and serving all students of the College of Western Idaho. Your student leaders present and resolve student concerns; seek out opportunities for improvement within the college; provide resources; and enhance student life and the community around us. ASCWI mission is to represent students, making sure that their voices are heard and enhancing their experience at CWI.
ASCWI is always looking for passionate student who can help with this mission and reach out other students, listen to their concerns, and be their liaisons. We are looking for students who can help identify and fix problems. Students who what to make a difference and make student life better here at CWI.
ASCWI officers get to interact with CWI administration and community leaders as the students' liaisons. Students can be part of ASCWI as an officer or delegate by applying to the current open positions.
Meetings are held every Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the NCAB Student lounge and via Zoom: Students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please check the event calendar for meeting dates and links.
Student Leadership Meetings: Consist of 1 member from each club reporting past, present, and planned events. These occur the first Thursday of each month.
Senate Meetings: ASCWI reporting updates and news on what is going on with College Council, Board of Trustees, and multiple Committees throughout the campus.
All meetings are Open Forum, so please come and contribute your thoughts to make CWI a better place for all students today.
ASCWI is looking for officers!
To be eligible you must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at CWI, have a 3.0 GPA, and be in good standing.
You will also need to be available every Thursday from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. when Senate and working meetings occur.
