2024
Over $316,000 was raised benefiting student scholarships at the 11th-annual Opening Doors Benefit Event, setting a new record for the College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation.
The live event was hosted on CWI's campus on Sept. 13 at the Nampa Campus Academic Building (NCAB). The venue came alive with CWI leaders, success stories, and a lively auction. It was a night to remember, celebrating education and local generosity. Guests heard remarks from CWI Vice President of Advancement, Mark Arstein, and CWI President, Gordon Jones.
2023
College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation’s 10th-annual Opening Doors Benefit Event was a memorable celebration of community, generosity, and student success. Held Sept. 27 – Oct. 8, the event raised more than $222,000 in support of student scholarships.
The live event, hosted Oct. 4 at the Galaxy Event Center in Meridian, brought the CWI mission to life with inspiring student stories, spirited bidding, and strong community engagement. Guests enjoyed an evening emceed by former CWI Foundation Board President, Ivan Castillo, and heard remarks from current Foundation Board President, Mike Peña; Vice President of Advancement, Mark Arstein; and CWI President, Gordon Jones.
2022
After two years of completely virtual events, College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation’s Opening Doors Benefit Event was back in-person and saw very generous support from the entire CWI community! The ninth-annual Opening Doors Benefit Event and online auction, Sept. 28 – Oct. 9, raised more than $218,000 for student scholarships.
The event, hosted Oct. 5 at the Galaxy Event Center in Meridian, featured former CWI Foundation Board President, Ivan Castillo, as emcee. Guests heard remarks from current CWI Foundation Board President, Mike Peña, and CWI President, Gordon Jones, as well as special video messages from CWI Board of Trustee Chair, Molly Lenty, and Idaho Governor Brad Little.

Thank you to all who participated in the College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation's eight-annual Opening Doors Benefit Event to raise nearly $80,000 for student scholarships.
Hosted from the College's Powersports and Small Engine Repair Technology lab at the Nampa Campus Micron Education Cetner, the livestream event featured 2015 CWI Communication graduates, Shane Larson and Andde Mendez, as emcees and special guest, Dr. Tommy Ahlquist, CWI of Ball Ventures Ahlquist and 2021 Opening Doors Presidential Sponsor.

Nearly $72,000 was raised for student scholarships during the College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation's first-ever, virtual Opening Doors Benefit Event, Wednesday, Oct. 7.
The inspirational evening, highlighting students, alumni, faculty, programs, community members, and donors, featured an online auction as well as a live event broadcast from the College's Diesel Technology Lab at the Nampa Campus Micron Education Center, hosted by 2015 CWI Communication graduates, Shane Larson and Andde Mendez.
