The College of Western Idaho is short $4 million it needs to move into its new professional-technical center at the former Sam's Club store near CWI's campus in Nampa.
The shortfall means the school could have to dip into its general operating revenues to finish the work. School officials have been trying to raise the money privately.
"We are beating the streets," said Bert Glandon, the college president. "We have talked to more than 100 individuals and corporations. The good news is we have never been told no."
