Last month, the College of Western Idaho (CWI) Surgical Technology program welcomed the public into its brand-new lab at the Ada County Campus Quail Building in celebration of National Surgical Technology Week. Students and instructors answered questions from members of the program’s technical advisory committee, hospital contacts, and past and present students.
The open house also provided an opportunity to introduce, Cindy, the program’s new SynDaver Synthetic Human. The life-like learning tool provides students a head-to-toe synthetic physical representation of the human anatomy. The Surgical Technology instructors and students would like to thank all attendees for taking time to join in celebrating the profession and program.
