College of Western Idaho (CWI) had the opportunity to host San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly and her team on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
They toured CWI’s state-of-the-art Micron Education Center (NMEC), where she had conversations with instructors, students, staff, and key community members. The visit underscored the critical role CWI plays in powering the Treasure Valley workforce.

The committee members shared insights on local labor market demands and the importance of partnerships between education and industry in preparing students for successful careers.
CWI President Gordon Jones also met with President Daly to discuss the college’s mission and ongoing efforts to provide affordable, accessible education that meets the evolving needs of Idaho’s growing economy.
