Paid Research Opportunities for CWI Students

Published: January 20, 2016

College of Western Idaho (CWI) students are invited to apply for paid research opportunities that will take place this spring and summer. The opportunities are sponsored by Idaho INBRE, which promotes undergraduate biomedical research.

The INBRE committee at CWI is involved in selecting students to participate in two INBRE programs. One program, which will accept six scholars, is a two week program at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) working on DNA barcoding. This program would be appropriate for students that are just learning about science and are wondering if they want to go into research. The other is an eight week fellowship in an Idaho research lab. The fellowship would be appropriate for sophomore students that have a good work ethic, are excited about research, and have completed enough science labs that they have the basics of lab work.
