Documentary, “Changing the World, One Wall at a Time”, Comes to CWI

Published: September 18, 2019

Barred from higher education due to their religious beliefs, thousands of people have been forced to leave their home country of Iran in order to pursue their dreams. One such individual is now a student at College of Western Idaho (CWI) majoring in Business with plans to transfer to Boise State University to study Accounting.

“Access to higher education is a basic human right,” the student commented. “My dream is for people in Iran to have this freedom which is often taken for granted.”

To help educate others on the reality of the education discrimination this student and many others have faced, CWI’s Inclusive Excellence Committee, will be bringing the documentary, “Changing the World, One Wall at a Time”, to campus on Friday, Sept. 27. The showing, held in room 105 at the Nampa Campus Academic Building, will begin at 10 a.m. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the CWI community are invited to attend.
