The College of Western Idaho (CWI) welcomed over 70 students from the Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy (IDYCA) to CWI’s Nampa Campus, Thursday (June 19), for an introduction to the College. The group spent part of the day at the Micron Center for Professional Technical Education learning about CWI’s offerings, which included a presentation, tour, and question and answer session.
The IDYCA is part of the National Guard Youth Challenge Program, which serves 16 to 18 year olds who have dropped out of high school or are at risk of dropping out. The national program began in 1993, while the Idaho program began operating in 2013. For more information on the IDYCA visit www.IDYouthChallenge.com.
