In January 2009, the College of Western Idaho opened its doors to students, answer the call of residents for an affordable “community college” option in the Treasure Valley.
Just four years later, the college boasts more than 9,000 full-time students at campuses throughout the Valley, and in the 2011-12 school year, graduated 647 degree-or certificate-seeking students and awarded another 1,400 GEDs.
