College of Western Idaho (CWI) will be celebrating Veterans Day with a ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, on the second-floor atrium at the Nampa Campus Academic Building. The event will pay tribute and honor those who are serving or have served our country.
The CWI Patriot Range, with 200 American flags, will greet attendees of the ceremony which starts at 1 p.m. The ceremony will begin with the Idaho Army National Guard honor guard and will feature student speakers and feature keynote speaker, Alison Garrow, from the Mission43 organization. After witnessing struggles the military community faces in education, Garrow became a passionate advocate for veterans’ access to quality education and resources for successful degree completion. Refreshments will served at the conclusion of the event.
