College of Western Idaho (CWI) students will have a new way to get active and connect with other students through CWI Intramural Soccer beginning Thursday, Oct. 1.
The co-ed league is open to students of all skill levels, including those who have never played soccer. Participation is free for CWI students, and games will be held on CWI’s Nampa Campus fields.
Students can register with a team or sign up individually. Those without a team can be placed on an existing team that needs additional players or grouped with other individual participants.
Teams will compete in a six-on-six format on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Oct. 15. Games begin at 5 p.m. and will be scheduled every 45 minutes until all teams have played.
Teams will earn points during league play to determine who advances to the championship game Friday, Oct. 23. Registration will remain open throughout the season, but students who join earlier will have more opportunities to earn points toward the championship.
Intramural Soccer is one of CWI’s first intramural sports offerings and part of the growing Intramural and Recreation program. Additional sports, recreation activities, and events are planned throughout the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
No previous soccer experience is required. Students can sign up with friends or register individually to meet other students and join a team.
