College of Western Idaho Adopts New Mission Statement

In January 2022, College of Western Idaho (CWI) Board of Trustees adopted a new Mission Statement to:

  • Align with the 2020 Accreditation Standards as provided by the College’s accreditation body, Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
  • Inform the next CWI Strategic Plan currently being developed, which will allow for employee input and feedback. The new Plan is set to be implemented on July 1, 2023.

New CWI Mission Statement:

College of Western Idaho is committed to empowering students to succeed by providing affordable and accessible education to advance the local and global workforce.

Mission Statement Updates and Timelines:

All online and print publications must be updated with the new Mission Statement as soon as possible.
