Community Service

Published: March 15, 2016

“When I lost my job a few years ago, I decided to go to school and pursue Drafting Technology at CWI. Through that process, I became involved with SkillsUSA. The organization has a volunteer service program that awards people who donate time to their communities. As a Nampa Optimist Football volunteer, I logged more than 500 community service hours and ended up receiving Idaho’s first President’s Volunteer Service Award through SkillsUSA.”

Every year thousands of students, faculty, and staff from College of Western Idaho volunteer to help members throughout our community in need. From food drives to peer advising, and environmental to senior care, our campus community actively participates in projects that support people throughout western Idaho.
