College of Western Idaho (CWI) Latinx Student Services and the American Red Cross are teaming up to host the Cesar Chavez Blood Drive Challenge on Thursday, March 30, in honor of Cesar Chavez Day.
Cesar Chavez Day is a national holiday that celebrates the life and legacy of civil rights activist and labor leader Cesar Chavez, who founded the United Farm Workers of America. The Blood Drive Challenge honors Chavez’s commitment to community service.
“We want to provide a space where students, staff, faculty, and even the community can gift the gift of life,” said CWI Latinx Student Services Coordinator, Bibiana Ramirez.

Those interested in donating blood are asked to sign up prior to the event. People can schedule a time to donate on the Red Cross webpage using sponsor code: CWI
