Spring 2017 Job Fair Coming to CWI
College of Western Idaho's (CWI) Career Services will help students and community members connect with job opportunities at CWI’s 2017 Spring Job Fair. The event is open to the public and will focus on seasonal employment and jobs that may be ideal for students working their way through school. The fair, which is presented in partnership with the Idaho Department of Labor, will take place:

Over 50 employers have registered for the job fair. Job seekers at the event will also have the opportunity to learn about resources from CWI and Idaho Department of Labor. Attendees are encouraged to take their resume and be prepared to interview with employers. Please email loriyellen@cwi.edu with any questions.
CWI Showcase - Science and Healthcare Programs April 7
College of Western Idaho (CWI) will showcase Science and Healthcare programs on April 7 to the community, future and current students. The CWI Nampa Campus Academic Building will be hopping with experiments, activities, learning experiences, and more as faculty showcase their programs with help from industry and alumni.
Not only can attendees experience some of the great educational opportunities available at CWI, there will also be information sessions on financial aid, healthcare careers, introduction to college, and more. This is a don't miss event for anyone interested in a future in science, healthcare, or similar fields!
CWI will also be introducing new programs that will be starting Fall 2017.

Group sales for the CWI section at the Idaho Steelheads game March 31 are going well! A new section is opening up to accommodate the CWI community. Remember $5 from every ticket will go to support the SCORE Big Scholarship. This will mark CWI's fourth consecutive year of a partnership with the Steelheads, but a first year for the scholarship giveaway.

CWI Art Instructor at Boise Art Museum
College of Western Idaho (CWI) Art Instructor, Goran Fazil, is being featured in the 2017 Idaho Triennial exhibition at Boise Art Museum’s (BAM) first Artist Lab, which provides a physical and conceptual space for selected Triennial artists to explore new ideas in their work. The Artist Lab at BAM is organized into three thematic sessions, each of which features two artists. This session, visitors have enjoyed interacting with Goran and fellow artist Bryan Anthony Moore. They are creating artwork in the galleries through Sunday, March 26. Stop by the Artist Lab at BAM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. to see Goran.
CWI BPA Team Wins Big at State Competition
College of Western Idaho (CWI) had a successful 2017 Idaho Business Professionals of America (BPA) Leadership Conference, March 4, earning 40 top-five finishes, topping last year’s total. Twenty-one CWI students received awards, with 20 now qualified to compete at the BPA national competition. CWI students excelled in a number of accounting, business, and information technology competitions. The college took home three awards in Banking and Finance, one in Basic Office Procedures, one in College Accounting, seven in Computer Network Security, one in Computer Network Technology, two in Computer Networking, one in Computer Security, three in Contemporary Issues, one, Desktop Publishing, three in Excel, one in Fundamental Word, two in Intermediate Word, five in Network Administration using Microsoft, three in Payroll, one in PC Servicing and Repair, two in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting, and three in Systems Administration using CISCO.
