The holiday spirit hit College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Nampa Campus Academic Building on Thursday, Dec. 3, as students participated in recording CWI’s annual Holiday Greeting Video. This year, the College’s Marketing team collaborated with Student Life to host an ugly sweater themed decorating party. Students and employees from more than 10 different CWI groups came together for the event. Footage captured from the party will be used in this year’s Holiday Greeting Video, which CWI will share with students, employees, and the community later this month. Thank you to everyone who joined to help make the video and event spectacular.

CWI’s Fall 2015 Facts Released
College of Western Idaho's (CWI) Fall 2015 Facts at a Glance is now available to view online. The annual publication provides a statistical overview of the College and is a valuable resource for learning more about CWI. The information included in Facts at a Glance supports the messages being shared about who the College serves and the impact CWI is making in the community.
CWI Marketing and Advancement will be delivering hard copies to each campus location in the next couple weeks. Visit cwi.edu/info/facts-glance to view Facts at a Glance online.
CWI Students Help Warm Local Children
Students from College of Western Idaho (CWI) came together last month for a generous cause, collecting winter clothing donations for children in Caldwell. Five biology and allied health classes donated over 100 items of clothing for the Caldwell Housing Authority; formerly Farmway Village. On Nov. 20 CWI Adjunct Faculty Molly Wolk delivered the clothes, primarily hats and gloves, which were distributed for free prior to Thanksgiving.
POW/MIA Flag Presented to CWI Veteran’s Association
The College of Western Idaho (CWI) student Veteran’s Association was the recipient of a meaningful presentation this week. On Monday, Nov. 30, the group was given a POW/MIA flag by the Boise Valley POW/MIA Corporation. They offered this gift to the Veteran’s Association as a token of appreciate for the students’ faithful and dedicated service to veterans, service members, and their families in the community. This flag is particularly special as it flew over the Idaho State Veteran’s Cemetery for two years. Thank you to the Boise Valley POW/MIA Corporation for providing this generous gift to CWI.
Bookstore to Offer Holiday Sale
The College of Western Idaho (CWI) Bookstore will have a holiday sale, Wednesday-Friday (Dec. 9-11), providing deals on great holiday gift ideas. The Bookstore’s Winter Holiday Sale will feature 25 percent off apparel and gift items. The store will also be offering free gift wrapping for items purchased during the sale. Business Office Presents Annual Training
The College of Western Idaho (CWI) Business Office will be presenting its annual Deep Dive Training on common Business Office procedures, Dec. 15-16. All CWI employees are invited to attend. The trainings will be used to introduce new Business Office forms, processes, and information, and answer any questions, problems, needs, and concerns of the group.

Starting February 2016 a new employee class, Business Office 101, will replace the current Deep Dive training. Business Office 101 will include a series of classes that the Business Office will present on a recurring basis. This will allow employees to pick and choose which classes they would like to attend. Whether it’s to learn more about a certain topic or to get a refresher on a topic before a department takes on a new project, the Business Office will be here to help. More details will be released soon.
