CWI Diesel Technology students, Phillip and Travis Kildow, were recognized for their commitment to academic excellence on May 3 as recipients of $1,000 tools scholarships from the mikeroweWORKS Foundation. Each year the Foundation awards a pair of scholarships to Diesel Technology programs affiliated and accredited by the Associated Equipment Distributors. Phillip and Travis, both second year students, were selected for maintaining the two highest grade point averages over the past two years.
The CWI duo received two of just 54 scholarships given out nationwide. The mikeroweWORKS Foundation is named for TV personality, creator and host of Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs”, Mike Rowe. For more information on the Foundation visit www.mikeroweWORKS.com.
